I have a fairly diverse
background, born in Manhattan, NY, I grew up in Northern NJ and New
Bedford, MA. I earned a BS degree at Rutgers Univ., and an MS
(microbiology) degree at the University of Cincinnati. While in
Cincinnati, I worked as a medical research technician. I moved to
Woodland, CA in 1963 where I ran a molecular biology laboratory and
continued my education in Biochemistry at UC Davis. After leaving
the University, I ended up getting my California Contractor’s
License and started a design/build firm in Woodland. With thirty
years of contracting experience, I became interested in alternative
energy and took a position as a sales engineer in the geothermal
heat pump industry and after ten years of experience there, retired
in 2007. My hobbies are woodworking, motorcycles and photography.
I moved to Trinity County in
early 2006 with my wife Diane, where we designed and built our
retirement home. Between us, we have three daughters and two sons.
All of them, now on their own, with their own families, are spread
throughout CA. Diane and I have fallen in love with TC, and now
consider this our home. I, also consider TC as “motorcycle heaven”!
In 2010, I was appointed to the TC Planning Commission, where I
served for two years, until taking office as District #3 Supervisor.
I am a firm believer in the democratic process! Although this
system is slow and cumbersome, if our citizens participate, our
County will not only prosper, it will grow in the direction that you
all want. I promise to do my very best to make decisions that are
the “best” for our County as a whole, and to treat all County
citizens equally. That being said, I need your participation to
make that happen. Please contact me with your input. I and all the
TC Supervisors would love to see and here from you at the BOS
meetings! |
