LawhelpCA.org is California’s official and free legal resource. It serves California as the only statewide resource for easy access to self-help information on legal problems and referrals to local legal aid providers and pro bono assistance. Some of the topics covered: family law, public benefits, frauds, scams, housing issues, and abuse.

CRLAF is a statewide non-profit organization providing legal services and policy advocacy for California’s rural poor. The Foundation engages in impact litigation, community education and outreach, legislative and administrative advocacy, and public policy leadership on the state and local levels in the areas of labor, housing, education, health, worker safety, pesticides, citizenship, immigration, and environmental justice.

The company also publishes a variety of free newsletters, including daily opinion summaries for all Federal Appellate and State Supreme Courts and weekly opinion summaries on a wide range of practice areas, essentially from ‘A’ (Agriculture Law) to ‘Z’ (Zoning and Land Use).

Legal Services of Northern California serves clients in 23 counties including Trinity. It has four legal workers and three support staff. The organization has a multi-dimensional service delivery system which employs the efficiencies of telephone hotlines, self-help advocacy through counseling, clinics, pro se materials, and community legal education, in addition to direct representation both in court and at administrative hearings. LSNC engages in creative collaborations with other legal services programs, community organizations, and government agencies, including court-based in pro per assistance.
