Databases:

  NetPac (http://nscls.library.net):  Contains the collections of the 13 North State Libraries including all Trinity County
     materials cataloged since 1995. We are in the process of adding the rest of our collection to the North State catalog.

Note:  Use the barcode on the back of your library card to access the databases listed below:

  Gale Reference Center Gold:  a general interest database used to find articles from newspapers, reference books, and
     periodicals, many with full-text and images.  Find the latest current events, popular culture, business and industry
     coverage, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies, and more.  Coverage is from 1980 - current.
  Gale Health and Wellness Resource Center:  used to find magazines, journals, newspapers, definitions, directories,
     and information on: Fitness, Pregnancy, Medicine, Nutrition, Diseases, Public Health, Occupational Health and
     Safety, Alcohol and Drug abuse, Prescription Drugs, etc.  Included are links to diet, cancer, and health assessment
     sites as well as government databases.  Coverage is from 1980 - current.

Library Cards:

  If you have never registered for a library card, you may do so anytime the library is open.  You will need a driver's license
    (picture I.D.) and proof of local address (e.g. utility bill).  Applicants under 18 must be signed up by a parent or guardian.

Collection:

  Books:  4 weeks, 2 weeks, on all new titles
  Reference books:  overnight only on some materials
  Magazines:  2 weeks on all non-current issues
  Audio-Books on tape, unabridged: 2 weeks; fee: $1.00/week
  CD's and music cassettes: 2 weeks
  Teen CD's: in-library use only
  Videos: 2 (library working) days; fee: $1.00/2 days on feature film only
  Interlibrary loans: terms determined by lending libraries

Policies:

  Renewals:  twice in person if no "hold" on item
  Fines:  up to 1/2 replacement cost of item
  Books & Magazines: $0.10/day
  Audio-Books, music cassettes, and CD's: $0.50/day
  Videos $ reference materials:  $1.00/day

Replacement Charges:

  Lost library cards:  $0.50
  Missing barcodes:  $0.50
  Magazines:  $5.00
  Music audiocassettes:  $5.00
  Books, audio-books, and videos:  current replacement cost plus $5.00 processing fee

Other Charges:

  Minor damage:  $3.00
  Computer printout:  $0.10/page
  Computer diskette:  #1.00
  Interlibrary loans not picked up:  $2.00 handling fee
