WILLIAM E. (BILL) CHAMBERS

Incumbent

On 4/8/04, I was appointed by Governor Schwarzenneger to complete the term of Supervisor David Klipp who had died while in office.  From the beginning, I’ve supported:  Health care, fire protection, and law enforcement.  I’ve continually fought to keep emergency healthcare available in this County.

I’ve continually supported All Volunteer Fire Departments in the County on votes for funds:  Propane for repeaters, doubling the county’s share of Workers Compensation Insurance and Title III Funds.  I organized a communications workshop to analyze the County Emergency Communications Systems. This was to see how we can upgrade the current systems for the future.

Supporting the rehiring of additional deputies for the Sheriffs Department was important to me.

I’ve been working on the Trinity Center Airport land transfer from the Forest Service to the County.  I’ve submitted a draft operation plan for County Airports to the Forest Service for comments.

The upgrading of the County General Plan is another top project.  This is a very important tool to guide our growth for the future.  I have been gathering as much material as I can, so that I’ll be able to make sound decisions.  I hope to continue serving you in the future.
