County Administrative Office

Department Function:
The County Administrative Officer is appointed by the Board of Supervisors. This office recommends and manages the county budget, facilitates the implementation of policies for the Board of Supervisors, analyzes issues and makes recommendations to the Board, represents the county in intergovernmental relationships, coordinates the work of all county departments, and coordinates the overall administration of county government. The County Administrative Officer also serves as the Personnel Director, Purchasing Officer and provides direct supervision to the following divisions: Grants and Housing Loan Rehabilitation, General Services, Information Technology, Libraries, Personnel, Risk Management, and Veteran’s Services.
