Depending on weather conditions, smoke impacts from the Camp Fire in Butte County may occur in areas of Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity County. This fire is currently at 135,000 acres with 35% containment. Click the link above for more information.
The California Department of Forestry & Fire Protection/Shasta County Fire Department (CAL FIRE/SCFD) advises residents to maintain and inspect their heating systems prior to using them this fall.

Residents are reminded that outdoor residential burning within the State Responsibility Area of Shasta and Eastern Trinity Counties is still prohibited. The suspension has been effective since June 11, 2018 at 8:00 a.m., and bans all residential outdoor burning of landscape debris such as branches and leaves. There is not an estimated date for lifting the burn suspension.
