Training and Support
In order to help caregivers successfully support the children placed in their care, ongoing training and support services are offered through the local Foster Care Associations and Kinship Support Programs. Local training opportunities are offered through FFA's, the local Child Welfare agency or Kinship Support Programs. Foster parents are required to have initial and ongoing training, and are encouraged to get involved in a support system or association for foster and kinship care providers. Below you will find information on local resources.
