U.S Small Business Administration / U.S. Department of Agriculture Disaster Loans available for April 11-12, 2022 freeze event
Deadline to apply is July 5, 2023

Small nonfarm businesses in designated counties, including Trinity County, may be eligible to apply for low‑interest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration. 
How to apply: Contact SBA at 1-800-659-2955, or visit SBA’s website at: www.sba.gov/disaster, or email disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
Hearing impaired individuals may call 1-800-877-8339. 

Farmers and ranchers who conduct family-sized farming operations may be eligible to emergency farm loans for both physical and crop production losses as a direct result of the disaster, up to a maximum of $500,000. 
Contact local Farm Service Agency (FSA) office listed in the local telephone directory under U.S. Government, Agriculture. Persons with disabilities who require alternative means for communication of program information should contact
USDA’s TARGET Center at 202-720-2600 (voice and TDD).

All residents of Trinity County are encouraged to sign up to receive CodeRED messages of their choosing: i.e. email, text and phone (landline and cell). Trinity County residents should not rely on the CodeRed app to receive emergency notificaitons. The app is recommended for travel outside of Trinity County.

OES is also authorized through FEMA to send emergency messages by way of television, radio or cell phone within the Trinity County Operational Area (TCOA) during a time of a disaster (it is the same method as the weekly test scrolling on the television or interrupting a radio broadcast).

The Integrated Public Alert Warning System (IPAWS) uses the US Emergency Alert System (EAS) and the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) to send emergency messages across televisions, radios and any cell phone capable of receiving messages within the operational area.
