Volunteers provide a valuable service to the library and to the public. They are indispensable in assisting with the many day-to-day tasks in the library or with special projects. Since volunteers are community members, they foster goodwill for the library and become strong advocates for library service. If you would like to commit several regularly scheduled hours each week, please contact the County Librarian. Potential volunteers are required to fill out a form and if under 18 years of age, must provide parental or guardian consent.
Here are some examples of tasks:
- Cleaning and checking returned books and media
- Shelving books, magazines and media
- Assisting with storytime programs and crafts
- Assisting the Friends with booksales and special events
You may print this volunteer form, fill it out and drop it off at the library.
